Prayer for Travellers

The following is my translation from the final prayers of the Sunrise service which are perfect prayers for travelers.

 

Ascription:  Lord, direct our journey in the paths of peace.  Lord, guide and direct our souls and of all the faithful to walk in the way of righteousness and unto life eternal.

 

Deacon: Let us beseech Almighty God that He may successfully direct the paths of His servants in goodness and peace.  Almighty Lord our God have mercy on us and save us.

 

Prayer: O Christ our God, author of life and giver of peace, guide us so that we may walk in Your ways of righteousness and that we may arrive through Your grace and loving kindness, at the harbor of life and salvation in peace, for You are our helper and deliverer and to You is befitting glory, dominion and honor both now and always and unto the ages of ages.  Amen.
