A Parent’s Prayer

For the Parents of

St. Mary Armenian Church

 

n the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, Amen.

Dear Father of our Lord Jesus Christ help and equip me to recognize the importance of my parental duty and to remain firm in my commitment to worship and Christian Education in partnership with the pastor, faculty and administration of St. Mary Armenian Church’s Sunday School.

Lord, equip me to make every effort to assure regular attendance at Your Holy Table and to support the work of Christian education.

Lord, equip me to fully cooperate and to do my best to make Christian education effective in the life of my child by encouraging faith and making prayer the center of my home life.

Lord, equip me to strive for regular school attendance and attend parent functions as my schedule permits.

Lord, equip me to seek the advancement of St. Mary Armenian Church in all areas, and pray regularly and earnestly for the progressive good of the parish and Sunday school.

Lord, equip me to support the parish and school by offering my gifts of time, talent and treasure, in addition to dues and stewardship payments, as the Lord enables me.

Lord, equip me to undertake my assigned areas of assistance, fulfilling duties and responsibilities at the school to the best of my abilities as opportunities present themselves.
Lord, equip me to become a parent in Your Holy Image and to see my child in the Image of Your Holy Son, my precious Savior born of the Holy Virgin Mary.

Lord God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, as a parent of a child in attendance at St. Mary Armenian Church’s Sunday School, I recognize my responsibility to strive diligently toward glorifying You in all that I do by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit, now and always and unto the ages of ages, Amen.
